What is ID Protection?
When you register a domain name with Nexigen, your information such as your mailing address, email address, and phone number are published in the public WHOIS database. This information becomes available to anyone who performs an inquiry to your domain name. Your personal information is therefore at risk from being manipulated by data miners, who can then target you via either junk email, prank telephone calls, postal messages, fax messages, etc.. Using Nexigen's ID Protection service, you can immediately put a stop to such abuse. When you enable this service for your domain name, we replace your Contact Details in the Whois database with our generic contact details, thus, masking your personal contact details. ID Protection gives you full control over your domain and still keeps you as the standing registrant of the domain unlike "proxy" services.
